INBC saves lives by providing blood and services to support transfusion and transplantation medicine in the Inland Northwest.

Transplant Services Intro

The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) department works to identify HLA matched marrow or adult blood stem cells for patients worldwide.  Since the program’s inception at INBC in 1987, our NMDP affiliate donor center has registered over 30,000 donors and facilitated over 150 requests for donors to give marrow or blood stem cells.

The HLA Laboratory provides transplant compatibility testing for the heart and kidney transplant programs at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.  The laboratory also works with Life Center Northwest to help carry out the wishes of deceased organ donors and their families in our region.
